1,000 Hats for Hamlin Milestone!

Thanks to your amazing generosity and talent, we’re thrilled to share that 1,000 baby hats have been lovingly knitted, donated, and packaged – ready for their journey to Ethiopia!

Not only will they keep newborns warm in the high altitude rural villages, the promise of a 'free hat' encourages mothers to birth with a Hamlin midwife. This ensures healthier outcomes for mums and babies and helps prevent obstetric fistula.

With 35,000 babies born each year at Hamlin-supported clinics, we still need your help!

Hamlin Fistula NZ is committed to providing ongoing support for fistula surgery and for the preventive work of the midwives. The hospital in Addis Ababa has become a centre of excellence to which doctors from other countries come to learn and master the specialist skills of fistula surgery.
