Founded more than 60 years ago, by pioneering Kiwi Dr Reg Hamlin and his wife Dr Catherine Hamlin, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia has treated and restored the dignity of more than 60,000 women since its inception and are recruiting, training and deploying local midwives to rural clinics.
Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia’s achievements and progress in Ethiopia are due to a growing movement of committed people like you here in New Zealand and around the world who support our work. The more fistulas we treat and the more Hamlin midwives we train, the closer we get to our ultimate purpose of preventing fistula from occurring in the first place. That’s why we still need your help.
Dr Catherine planned for her hospitals to continue long after she and Reg were gone and today there are six hospitals and many dedicated staff in place to continue her work. Now, you too can be part of the work transforming the future for thousands of women and their communities through a legacy gift in your Will.
